Just Hours Before Her Wedding, She Collapsed. A Sudden Brain Haemorrhage Left Her Unconscious — And She Hasn’t Woken Up

“All these years, I dreamed of her wedding… of seeing her take her bidaai with a smile on her face and blessings in her hands. After I lost my wife, I raised our children alone, despite being a heart patient and having a heart attack. I kept telling myself — one day, she’ll have the life her mother always wanted for her. But now, instead of being on her honeymoon, she is unconscious and unaware of what is happening to her. It’s breaking me inside… but I’m her father. I have to stay strong, no matter how much it hurts.— Shailesh, father

Shipra was supposed to be a bride on June 4th. Her father, Shailesh, had spent years preparing for this day — taking personal loans, working tirelessly, and managing everything himself after the sudden death of his wife in 2020. He did pujas daily, believing her blessings were guiding them. Their home had been filled with wedding decorations, laughter, music. Then, just one day before the ceremony, their world collapsed.

‘Now she lies unconscious, and I haven’t even been allowed to see her because of my condition’

On the night of June 3rd, during her Sangeet ceremony, Shipra suffered a sudden brain haemorrhage (brain bleed) and was rushed to Ruban Memorial Hospital. The diagnosis shattered the family. Her condition was critical, and doctors advised emergency ICU admission. Eventually, doctors recommended an urgent brain surgery. The family shifted her to Jay Prabha Medanta Hospital, where the surgery was successfully completed on June 10th. But she still remains unconscious. Every day is a test of patience, prayer, and pain.

“They don’t let me see her — they say my heart won’t take it. I sit outside the ICU and pray. I haven’t seen her face since the day she collapsed. The daughter I loved and did everything for… I just want her to come back to me.”— Shailesh

‘All the money we borrowed for her wedding… is now spent on saving her life’

Shailesh had never imagined that the money set aside for his daughter’s wedding would be spent on bringing her back to life. Between hospital bills, surgery, ICU care, and diagnostics, they have already spent over ₹12.6 lakhs. Shipra's savings and her health insurance has been exhausted. The bills from Ruban Memorial Hospital alone crossed ₹3.7 lakhs. Now, the family is left with nothing. And yet, Shipra still needs extensive physiotherapy and long-term care. The total cost is expected to reach nearly ₹18 lakhs.

“I used to work in a private company. I didn’t have much, but I had dreams. Her wedding was my wife’s biggest wish. That dream has turned into a nightmare. I have nothing left. I beg relatives and friends to help me… but they too are helpless. All I want is to bring my daughter home. Alive. Please support me. I am very desperate.”— Shailesh
